State of Mexico.- This Wednesday, November 20, a multiple collision occurred on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway , at kilometer 059+000 in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico . The accident involved a trailer that, after being unable to stop in time, collided with several vehicles. As a result, the vehicle ended up across the road, occupying all three north-south lanes of traffic, causing a partial closure of the highway.
Causes of the accident and traffic conditions
The incident occurred as the trailer was traveling toward Mexico City . Failing to brake in time before the Jorobas intersection , the driver crashed into a bank and then struck five cars and a pickup truck . Due to the wet road conditions caused by the day’s rain , it is suspected that road conditions may have played a role in the accident, although authorities will investigate the cause.
Paramedics arrived at the scene within minutes, moving quickly through the chaos to assess the condition of everyone involved. Emergency lights flashed across the area as first responders worked carefully to ensure that no one with hidden injuries was overlooked. While the overall situation could have ended far worse, the incident still left several people shaken, confused, and in need of immediate medical attention.
